ABOUT ROB
I’ve spent my career finding out what happens when the target gets difficult.
I’m Rob McLeod — a professional speaker, world record holder, coach and lifelong student of what it takes to do something you can’t do yet.
I’ve set records, missed them, adjusted, trained and tried again. I’ve also helped other people pursue records of their own — from individual athletes to hundreds of students taking on one shared challenge.
Those experiences became the foundation for World Record Mindset™.

THE RECORDS
The record was never the whole point.
World records gave me a clear target. They forced me to practise, measure, fail, adjust and try again.
Over time, I became just as interested in what happened before the record as what happened when the attempt was over.
Why did some targets pull me forward while others felt impossible? What made progress believable? Why did one failure lead to another attempt while another made it easier to quit?
Those questions eventually became more important than the records themselves.
Every world record starts with a personal best.
THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE IDEA
Built through years of doing, teaching and trying again.
World Record Mindset™ wasn’t developed in a boardroom. It grew out of competition, coaching, speaking, teaching and helping other people pursue difficult targets of their own.

WORKSHOPS DELIVERED
I’ve competed internationally, coached athletes, delivered thousands of workshops, and helped children, adults and adaptive athletes prepare for record attempts. Some succeeded. Some didn’t. All of them taught me something about what happens when people have a target worth pursuing.

FROM RECORD HOLDER TO RECORD BUILDER
Some of the most meaningful records I’ve been part of weren’t mine.
Over time, I started helping other people find records worth pursuing, prepare for the attempt and discover what they were capable of along the way.
That changed how I thought about records.
A record could be more than an individual achievement. It could become a shared target, a teaching tool, a reason to practise something difficult, or an opportunity for an entire group to grow together.
That idea sits at the heart of World Record Mindset™ today.
YOUR NEXT RECORD
What could your next record be?
Whether it’s a world record, an organizational record or a personal best, the first step is identifying a target worth changing for.
